I just spent two evening trying to install my rebuilt 12 bolt on my 70 chevelle. I can get 3 of the 4 arms ( two lowers and the left top) in , but the right arm misses the alignment by quite a bit. I know if I lower the left it helps to align the arm, but it seem to be a really tight fit and I think it is torques the frame. I also seems to matter on the lowers which arm goes on the left and right, otherwise the angle seemed to be wrong in trying to connect the rear end up. The left top has the extra plate attached on one side. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

take the springs out and jack the rear end up higher
