I've had my '66 since high school and I've finally had it painted. Check it out.

Looks Great!! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
If only I could find a bodyshop to paint mine. I've been ready since last spring, but can't find a shop that will take it on for a reasonable price.

Looks great! I love weld draglights same thing I am putting on my 69. What color red is that? Do you know what kind of clear that is?

It's hugger orange and I can't remember if it's got a clear. It's the same orange that the '69 Camaros came in.
I don't know what you consider a reasonable price. After shopping around I got quotes from $3400 (Maco) to $5000. In the end it cost me $3600. I removed all of the chrome and weather striping and had it all jammed. I think I got a good deal.
Good luck with yours.

You got a great deal! The price you paid is very reasonable.
When I got my 66 four years ago, I got two quotes for around $4000 for bodywork and paint. Now (after I've completed engine, chassis work), both places want over $8000 - for the same work - nothing has changed as far as bodywork! I've got one other place that will do it for around $7000, but that's still too high for me. I'm going to have to do the bodywork myself. Like you, I've stripped the car of trim, bumpers, etc.
Yes, you paid a good price. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
