Hey guys and gals: We are making progress. Here are some before pics and then after primer. Thinking about laying down epoxy or maybe something else. Any ideas are appreciated.

Clean the metal really well with a water borne cleaner like PPG's dx103 and epoxy prime.
Sand the metal with 80 grit and wire brush, so the epoxy has something to stick too...Eric
