i have a 69 malibu the rear window and inside deck lid is almost rusted out i need advice on repairing it

Replace it.

Cut and weld is the only solution!!!

Fortunately, that piece is available from the aftermarket. A little cutting and welding is in your future.

Randy you must be an optimist http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif it took me 2 hours too remove that piece with both 1/4's off and the rear window out.. ALOT of spot welds that are tough too get too because of the hinges. A tip for you though these aftermarket pieces are very very close to the original panel (of course the one I purchased is) cut a small line on the edges of the piece so you can line it up when installing the new panel.. you'll be impressed on how well it fits http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
