I'm looking for comments on a specific Plater that does and has rechrome bumpers. Anyone have any experiance with Rechrome Part LTD in Mendham NJ. The usually advertise in Hemmings as well as (previous) Chevelle Report.
Looking for comments on quality and workmanship.
Thanks for your help.

I would perform a search on this in this forum as well as the bench racing & chevelle tech forum. I remember someone saying to avoid "bumper boyz" or something to that nature. Good luck.

I have a 72 SS hardtop that needed a new look in the bumper dept. I found that re-chroming around here was going to cost me around $400 per bumper. Surfing through the net landed me on the site for RestoreClassics. They pound out new bunpers from original GM tooling for less than $200 apiece, with free UPS shipping.
Look for them at www.restoreclassics.com (http://www.restoreclassics.com)

Tony, I just sent you this same question via email. I was curious how pleased you are with the finish on these bumpers. I've been shopping re-chroming shops here in Houston and for the price of the new Goodmarks' at RestoreClassics.com, it seems like a very good deal. Just a little concerned about what level of finish they are in.
I was burned by a local chrome plating service here in town and don't want to repeat the same experience. Thanks for the feedback.
