There is a local ad for a complete GM "'60's" front brake system including booster, MC, spindles, rotors and calipers for $100. It says he was going to install on a '68 Chevelle. I don't have any other details but assuming it would actually fit a '68 Chevelle, would it fit my completely stock '67 300?

Make sure that when he says "going to install in a 68 Chevelle" that he means the same thing as "fits a 68 Chevelle".

On the front of my 67 is a complete 68 disc brake setup, no probs, but there is a piston difference between the 2 years though if i remember correctly

He states its "going" on a 68 Chevelle. That doesnt mean it could have came off a Chevelle. Best thing to do is find out for sure what the system came off of.

Look at the area where the steering arms attach to the spindle. If they are bolted on it should be a direct fit. If the arms are cast to the spindle this is not the stock set up and will require modifications to install. It would be best to pass on it.

Thanks for the help. I still haven't figured it all out yet. I might save the $100 towards a fancy front disc kit. I can't sort out all the different options, drop spindles or drop springs. So many different opinions. I don't need super trick becasue I am thinking of running 15x7 steelies up front so you won't see them anyway, but I do want to get a little lower and either rebuild or upgrade the front suspension eventually.
