I'm going to buy an aftermarket 375 HP kneeknocker. I see two different styles as far as the 6000 rpm redline paintings on the face of the gauge.

One has the redline markings painted OVER half the white line below the "60" (6000 rpm).
The other has the redline markings painted UNDER the white line below the "60".

I think I made that sound confusing; in other words, should there be a full white line at 6000rpm, or should the redline markings partially cover the white line at 6000rpm?

Thanks

Mark, I have an original tach and the red/yellow line covers the bottom part of the 60 dash. The yellow/red line at closer inspection appears to be a decal and mine also slightly covers the bottoms of the 5800 and 6200 lines

Have two original tacks the 325 tack's yellow/red line goes from about 4775 to 5225. On the 360 tach it goes from about 5275 to 5725. Also looks like a faded decal, so wa probably placed there by hand. My guess on the 375/6000 tack it should go from about 5775 to 6225. Which would mean the break between the red and yellow lines should be at 6000.
