I need some rocker clips to adjust my 502 and came across a couple of different styles. Need some opinions.

Thanks

You don't need any clips of any kind to adjust your valves. Use the EOIC method well documented here and elsewhere and skip that mess. It's pointless.

I agree with Tom.In the last six years I have never adjusted my valve lash with the engine running. What I usually do is take my car out for a run,go home, pull the valve covers off and set the lash. This seems to work pretty good.

if you do use clips, you can still get oil spillage as it puddles in the lower part of the head, and can run over the headers, etc

Plus your socket knocks the clips off while your making adjustments.

If you want to do them running, crush some aluminum foil around each rocker nice and tight. Then, get an old valve cover and cut it in 1/2 and bolt to the lower portion of the head - this way all the oil run off is captured. Do these 2 things and you won't spill a drop. Make sure your engine is warmed up and off of the fast idle.

I always do them wet. I just get it done fast enough that I beat the oil before it gets out of the head. :)

Practice makes perfect.
