For seat covers they both do use PUI. Got mine through Ausley's last summer. They were quickly drop shipped to me direct from PUI. Year One told me it would be a number of weeks at the time.

There are so many interior parts. What pieces do you need?

I know they use different vendors for different things. I'd be happy to let you know regarding any of the parts you're thinking about that I might have also needed to buy.

I would recommend getting a used original dash pad and touching it up with SEM color coat if needed. All the repro dash pads that I've seen were a terrible fit. You should be fine on getting new for the other parts.

Does Ground Up carry PUI interior kits?

I've had quite a bit of experience with repro parts over the last six months while doing our '69 el Camino. Mostly fad. The fenders were a terrible fit and holes were missing. Had to rework the hood a little to make the louvres fit. If at all possible, refurbish your old parts. You will be glad you did. Buying new parts then having to rework them to fit gets expensive FAST.

PUI interoirs are probably the best. As said here earlier, the dash pads suck. I have my original and plan on cleaning it up.

I think to many people get confused as to what one catalog sells as being better then another. Most companys sell the same brands and all your compairing in the end, is the price and service.

Personally. I much perfer Ausleys in this case.

All,

I just finished my 66 Chevelle. Most of my parts came from Ground Up and Tony's. I believe Tony worked for Ausley's awhile back.

I agree, when you can use your oem parts and refurbish them. There is nothing like them, especially when it comes to moldings, etc.

Last but not least, service is everything. Ground up was out in Long Island and I really miss having them around. They were great to pop over and get any tech information I needed. Still, they are now just as easy to contact over the phone and as always very knowledgable, friendly, and always willing to make a deal when buying lots of parts.

Hope this helps.

Haven't bought from year one, but Ausley's has excellent customer service, and they get the parts to your door step in a day or two. Very competative pricing too.

But I also understand the sponsor support. For some of us though, it comes down to price when you're talking about the same part, same manufacturer.

I recently purchased my covers from legendary and I tossed my pui covers, they were garbage. Plus now legendary tells me they come with a limited lifetime guarantee for as long as i own the car. As far as i'm concerned that means a lot.

Just did my 66 interior completely from Ausley's and was pleased with the quality and service.
