Hello Chevelle Guys

Its my 1st post in this great site, yet its not my first visit . I am a chevy gearhead coming all the way from Saudi to join the rest of U.

I have managed to dig out a 66 Hardtop Malibu, with a 327 for a friend of mine from a local scrabyard, and that's the reason why I joined U guys . I know its early to ask 4 tech information.

I did managed to decode some numbers but does a VIN ( 136176253661 ) look right?

Thanks again for all the things I've learned from this site .

Welcome! You can learn a lot on this site. Use the search feature for any questions you have. If you can't find what you're looking for feel free to ask. Sounds like you have a lot of work in front of you.

Never too early!! Ask away. Welcome Ghazi. How easy is it to find Chevelles over there? We can hardly find anything good around here for less than a fortune, and you pull one out of a scrapyard! Good find!! John

Thanks for your replies & support. Sure its a long way 2 go w/lots of facts & figures.

Johnny..

No trouble in finding Chevelles here, since most of them came to Saudi during the early days of Aramco ( the Arabian American oil company - Standard oil of California Co. ) back in '40s.

The trouble is that U R dealing with an area 3 times the size of Texas, most of it is inhabitant & in un-hospitable weather.

To give you an idea about the prices here. We managed to get this jewel for $3,315, which is in our standards EXPENSIVE for a car in its condition.
