Which company sells body parts for 1965 malibu's. It seems as though not many. Is it because there's less demand than 68-72?

Your right. 64/65's are like red-headed step children. as far as replacement panels go. We finialy got outer wheel houses a year or so ago. still no inners or trunk filler panels. Most panels are made by Goodmark door skins, 1/4 skins.

found at most repo houses

I had to scrounge around forever before I found a fender for mine.

for some reason, sheetmetal is being remanufactured backwards, at least for chevelles (later years first and working back). THey just started making a lot of sheetmetal for 66-67 and I was told that 64-65 was next. Hopefully they won't wait a long time before they release the 64-65 stuff.

I think your backward theory has do do with marketing. Where as GTO's it went the other way !!!!
BB were not availible in 64 and only 213 made in 65 so 66 was the Frist BB/SS cars the were availible to all. Up untill about three years ago 66/67 HT GM 1/4's could be found with relitive ease.
I know in my area alot or the early cars were used up in the roundy round ciricut.
In classes where you had a framed mide size car with a factory 327 eng.
Talking with guys from the South they lamented the same fate for the early chevelles.
So low numbers. low popularity for performance production numbers = low demand for product to be produced.

This is why a guy a Carlisle last week end had a price tag of $3600 for a pair of 64/65 1/4 panels that had ALOT of shop wear.

I bought door skins, patch panels, and trunk pieces from Ground Up for my '65 Malibu. My rear 1/4 panel came from Year One. All parts fit with no problems.

Ground up and year one market Goodmark panels. The 1/4 skins are that skins not full 1/4's
