i have a 70 chevelle that has a chrome strip that goes from the back of the drip rails to the front fenders. this is the only car that i have seen it on. can you tell my why? graemlins/clonk.gif

and by the way all the trim for my 70 is there and in good shape so i think i will keep it on the car. :D

Because your car is a Mailbu, and not a Super Sport. Super Sport cars did not have that top fender edge trim, or the rocker trim under the doors, and alot of times Malibu owners remove those because they don't like the way they look. It's all personal prefrence wether you keep it or shave it, but usually when people get 70's they clone 'em which would require taking that off.

So that my friend, is why you don't see many 70's with that trim on them.

They also do not reproduce those pieces(not yet), and they are a bit** to find. Another reason they get removed.
