: Hood alignment at the hinges DRLs68 Nov 24th, 03, 3:44 PM I've got a 68 Chevelle, and the hood sits about an inch high at the hinges. The Hinges are adjusted down on the fenders as far as they will go. Are the hinges bad? Are the springs just bad? I've seen a lot of 68's with this issue. Any help would be great. Thanks Dan 69ssmike Nov 24th, 03, 5:24 PM Try loosening the hinge bolts and picking up on front of hood,front of hinge all the way up,back of hinge down.I even ground out the holes in the back so I could lower it more.
