Could you elaborate on the details? It does look like a nice car.

I could make a long list of incorrect items on this 68, but the thing that stands out most, is the so called numbers matching Alt code block, in a Kan assembled car :clonk:

We've seen this one before, I remember it because the grommets for the PCV valve and breather vent don't have anything in them. Gonna be a little oil under the hood after the test drive.
Wrong tailpipes, EU is a 350HP so it has the wrong air cleaner, no smog equipment :clonk: (wrong manifolds, too), '69 brake calipers, I could go on for a long time---

Very, Very small detail,........... the SS396 emblem on the grill looks to be wrong.

Yep. A whole list.

And it is a beautiful car. Nicely done. It's really the advertising that I have issue with.

I thought I remembered seeing it before but I couldn't find when I went back to look.

This car was just sold a couple weeks ago as a non-matching numbers car, now it's numbers matching again?? Plus they didn't build near that many 68 Chevelles in Atlanta in 68. Another scam by a used car dealer:confused:
Here's the ad from 2 weeks ago...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Chevelle-Super-Sport-68-SS-Chevelle-Super-Sport_W0QQitemZ320091508456QQcategoryZ6164QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem?hash=item320091508456

The original Ad from 2 weeks ago states matching numbers and lists the same misprint in the re-stamp.

He then later added the mis-match info after it was noticed by somebody.

Somebody bought it and is trying to pass it off now.?

Coconut sized Cahonas.

This car will continue to screw people for years to come.

Do you know what the odds are to have a car with a VIN # 138378K228917
and find a block with the ......................................VIN # ***18A228917 stamped on it. Think about it, it looks more like a re-stamp gone wrong.

Last two vehicles this seller sold got feedback that includes words like very disappointed and untruthful.

Never a good sign. Buyer beware!

Someone should send the previous link to this seller (that is obviously flipping it) and show them that they are commiting fraud.

I would if I knew how to do it.

I sent it to him several days ago, and got no respons. Just another used car dealer scam artist. Buyer beware!!!

The SUPPOS-ED buyer of the vehicle the first time around (note that auction says auction ended early...) also has a VERY SHORT and UGLY SELLING history of his/her own.

Seen here:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedbackFromBuyers&userid=62impala60corvette&items=-1&item=320091508456&de=off

It's very possible multiple people are working together to unload this thing.

Nuff said...

A car AND people that should be avoided for sure!
