Are the tension rods for the trunk lid the same as 68-74 Nova? I need the rods and have access to a set from a Nova that wouldn't cost me anything. Other than A-bodies, are there any other cars I could get these from?

The rods are only the same for the chevelle and skylark. They are side specific and CANT be switched from side to side.

Hey, thanks for the offers guys. I went to the boneyard today to get a back glass for my Nova and they gave me a set of rods for the Chevelle. Now, if they are side specific, how do I know which goes where? Do I have to put on a certain side first? One rod has a rubber sleeve on it.

As for the one with rubber pad I looked on both of my 70 chevelles and 70 Buick GS's(just picked up on thursday graemlins/thumbsup.gif ) the one with the rubber is the left rod. It holds up the left hinge arm. If you look on pic labeled 3-1 the left rod(one with pad) is the one in the background, not the rod going into the three slots. Hope that isnt confusing
