I got the 70 out of the garage last night for the first time this year. I was having trouble when I put it away last year where it wouldnt down shift into first when I stopped (only sometimes). I didnt really think of it when I was getting it out, Well I went to a buddies shop about 10 miles from my home and visited for a hour or so and when I left and tried to back up there was no Reverse. Long story short Its been 12yrs since I have had the Tranny/engine out of the 70. Since the tranny needs rebuilt Iam going to freshin up the engine. Just kinda wondering what kinda alum. heads you all run and maybe a good suggestion for Alum. heads for my app. I also like to run a little more cam. 350/350. When I bought it 15yrs ago I went through it then but was limited on money and pretty much made it a stock build. Any suggestions would be appr. Thanks in advance..

Why not buy a matched set of heads, cam and lifters from Edlebrock? I've had good luck that way.

I guess the question I should ask is what kind of Duration/Lift are you guys running.....About where is my cut of on Lift and still have some what streetable vacumn...It will probably see some track time but 90% street use. If Iam going to do it I would like to go big for what I got (350).. I would even look into stroking it and a stall if needed. It is already .30 over and has TRW flat top forged pistons but other than that its stock. Thanks

Look at the new Powerhouse Aluminum heads.....

www. enginekits . com

Im going to run these with a set of flat tops 9.7:1 compression ratio

with a 670 street avenger, and 60202 voodoo cam, performer RPM etc. etc. etc.

My dad is running 11.30's with a 355 w/ Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, alot of compression, big custom solid lift, and 110 octane... in his full steel body 72 nova....

So I woud say, a complete Edelbrock package is a good idea if you just wanna make one purchase and have everything work

edelbrock makes good quality products..... Dart and Brodix are some other places you could look...

AFR's are pricey, but probally the best head on the market

I would look at the brodix ik series. Mine from Jegs where 999.00, the quality looks excellent.
