Morning Everyone

Do anyone know of an appraisal company in the Eugene, OR area. I am looking at the El Camino in the link below.

I would also appricate any opinions on the pricing. It does not have a matching VIN number on the engine (396). It has a preformance built 396 casting# 3969854 with reworked heads from a 1967 396, Crane roller rockers, intake, Holley ect.

It also has a rebuilt THM400 and 12 bolt Posi. Paint is less than a year old and am told it has 81,000 miles. They also claim it is and orignal SS, but they have no doc to prove it.

Everything works and it has the facory tach, which I am told in not very common. Thanks for any opinions

For $18k they could have replaced the front bumper and done a better job of cleaning detailing the engine compartment. It looks like it got the "used car refurb treatment". I think you could do way better than that ride. As with most of their stuff in inventory it is way over priced. That's my opinion. It is a good thing that they have a truck lot as their muscle car inventory has a seriously slow turn-over rate. I haven't looked at their site since early last year and most of it looks the same.

The the 1969 factory tach's are now reproduced... hard to tell the difference- so be aware.

If it is all that they claim, that would be about the max it was worth.

Problem is this is a "muscle car dealer" = which means the description has been exhagerated and the car is probably not what it seems in pictures, and the price is probably about double what you should be paying.

My advice is KEEP LOOKING LOCAL your in Nevada where cars are solid, and prices are reasonable, check Craig's list and the local papers, something will turn up.
By the way an appraisal would run you around $600 and from what I have seen from Professional apprassiers they are worth about $60
