Hello all,

New member here, have been lurking checking things out, but getting in the game now. Great site, unbelievable amounts of info, discussion, passion, etc.

So my Chevelle story...

It's a 1975 Chevelle, I know, its not one of the glamour year cars, nor numbers matching, but we've owned it since new, first my grandmother, now me (for 21 years) and only has 46k on it. Its straight, clean and currently getting ready to receive its 3rd engine. Grandma had the 250 straight 6, I got the car in high school and that engine just wasn't cutting it. Put in a stout 350 w/nitrous, built tranny, lower gears and it was running 12.20's on slicks. The car was stored from 1994 - 2006 (went to college, got married, got job, etc.). Recently pulled the car back out and have been getting the body touched up, as well as a new engine - got the big block bug. So, now building a .030 over 454, 9.8:1 compression, rec. heads, comp cams XE284H cam, merlin intake, and Bill Mitchell 900XP carb. Hoping this engine can pull times the sbc/nitrous did and then some by itself. We'll see. Should be done in a month or so.

Anyway, take care.

Welcome Jim. Sounds like you've got a very nice car there. 468 sounds stoult. Only thing I'd sugest is a vic JR intake and a holley carb.

Thanks for the recs. Ya, its an iterative process, I'm sure I'll try a few different tweaks until I settle on the right induction. Ultimately, I'd like to top it with a F.A.S.T. FI system.

Welcome, we had a guy in town who owned a 75 Malibu Classic, black, black interior, and corvette rallys. MAN that was a good looking car!
