My 67 steering wheel has visible cracks where the spokes join the wheel and where the spokes join the column. I like the original wheel look, but for safety reasons feel I should replace it. Are there reconditioning services out there I can trust my life with? Are quality repro wheels on the market? All I seem to see are fake wood wheels, which I don't care for. Thanks.
I wouldn't be too concerned with the safety since all steering wheels should have a steel core in them for strength. There are do-it-yourself kits available to repair cracked steering wheels but I don't have any experience with them.
