: Whats the best source for 70-72 Quarters.
betcha618 Mar 27th, 07, 2:16 PM I know all the places that offer the Repro Quarters for the car. What I'm looking for is specific companies that ppl have dealt with for quarters/patch panels and full, that have the best quality and fitment. Just looking for info before i order. Thanks in advance.
mkidv Mar 27th, 07, 5:52 PM Last summer I put on a full quarter panel on the divers side and a partial quarter on the passenger side both were made by Goodmark they have a place on their website to find the closest local authorized dealer ( I think it is goodmarkindustries.com). They fit excellent. I THINK that they are GM certified and someone told me that they use the same die that GM did.I have never done anything like this before, maybe you have, but I was ever to do it again I would not ever do a partial again. The couple of hundred bucks I saved was not worth the extra headach.
betcha618 Mar 27th, 07, 6:10 PM Yea, Goodmark bought all the dies from Chevy when they discontinued the parts. I've just never personally dealt with them, thats why i was asking.
70ChevelleRagtop Mar 27th, 07, 7:13 PM Might want to try posting this over in the Body Shop forum...
71elkySS454 Mar 27th, 07, 9:55 PM Goodmark is NOT GM certified anymore.
Chevy 70 SS vert Mar 27th, 07, 10:25 PM I understand Ground-up took them over now, Since Goodmark no longer carries them.
SS454MIKE Mar 27th, 07, 10:29 PM Just put a Goodmark full quarter on a '70. It fit really great

BlueSS454 Mar 27th, 07, 11:45 PM The 70-72 full quarter was the best fitting part Goodmark had from what I understand. They no longer make full quarters for 70-72 hardtop or convertible. Your best bet is to call around and see if anyone still has a set. I was lucky enough to get a set for my convertible before they were gone.
betcha618 Mar 28th, 07, 9:02 AM As far as I know they still make them. there web site even says "New Tooling"
I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

Dean Mar 28th, 07, 9:21 AM I think Dana <70ChevelleRagtop> (above) found a place that still had some of the good GM authorized Goodmark convertible quarters in stock.
betcha618 Mar 28th, 07, 10:45 AM Any idea what place that was?
70ChevelleRagtop Mar 29th, 07, 7:58 PM This place...www.classicpartstore.com
betcha618 Mar 29th, 07, 8:46 PM Thanks. i'll be calling them soon.
70ChevelleRagtop Mar 29th, 07, 9:10 PM These quarters are disappearing quickly since Goodmark is no longer manufacturing them. I wouldn't wait very long!!
stingrayraleigh Mar 30th, 07, 5:59 PM My friend has a left side NOS GM quarter still in the box, a nos fender and nos door skin. All parts are brand new GM in original boxes. 2000.00 for all stingrayraleigh@yahoo.com
betcha618 Mar 30th, 07, 6:28 PM how much just for the quarter?
