Hi Guys,

Bought a set of new door knobs to replace the nasty looking ones currently installed. The new repop ones plastic inserts are so tight I can't get them on by hand. Was wondering if anyone has run across this and if so what did you do to install them without messing them up? I am thinking opening them up a bit with a larger drill bit?

That's the route I would take myself, if the plastic just isn't quite wide enough. Be careful not to make it too wide though...

Mine didn't have knobs on them for years in the project stage. When I tried to screw the new ones on they were to tight. I wire brushed the threads on the studs and then they went on by hand.
