I have had a small leak in the trunk for the last five years. I spent the afternoon removing the rear quarter extensions to re-seal the penatrations into the trunk.
I thought I could solve the problem with some rubberized sealing strip I have, it measures 9/16's wide by 1/8" thick, well to make a long story short it wasn't thick enough, I guess I could double layer it but beings I need to take them off again I might as well use the proper gaskets.
The illistrations in the Fisher service manual show a one piece gasket that looks like it's pretty thick. where can I get the whole package?
The paint chip gaskets, extension sealing washers, and the lamp opening gaskets, and lens gasket.
Also where can I find the correct clips for the outer bezel? My fourty year old clips gave up the ghost this time around, I improvised and found some heavy walled plastic tubing that would fit under the ears, and upon assembly the screws self tapped into the tubing holding the bezel in place. You know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention.
