Were the stripes on the SS painted on or stenciled on at the factory? thanks

Painted...make sure you buy the correct template for your year, make amd modle b/c there are different widths on the main stripe and the surrounding smaller stripes.

The D96 stripe on the '69s was a 3M decal. I had to replace the one on the driver's fender when the car was new.

You had your choice of any color, as long as it was black or white. Depending on interior and exterior color combo, V-Top color, Your combo may not be accepted to have stripes applied applied to your unit. Cowl hoods got stripes, Domed hoods did not it was an option on domed hoods. Bob

72 was painted. You could get white for any body color except white or black for any body color except black.
