I have seen a few sets at swap meets, and they go for a high price $400-$600 dollar range. I think 14" is the only size they made them, not 100% sure about that.

14's for a Velle, and big $$$$ for a very good set.

Those were probably either average in quality or the 67 style, of which unless you know your stuff can be very easily mistaken as the same, and the 67's are also much easier to come by.
I would say at least double your price for a decent set and more for show quality. I saw a set of 5 supposed NOS mags without original boxes go for 5k on E-Bay

Don’t ask why, but I kind of collect these hubcaps. I’ve sold off all my 65-66 caps over the years but still have a bunch of the 552205 caps, including a couple NOS ones. There were two different optional 14-inch simulated mag wheel hubcaps, one for 1965 and 66 Chevelle and another for 1967-72 Chevrolet. There was also a 13-inch and a 15-inch mag hubcap produced by Chevrolet for Corvar, and Impala. The 14-inch hubcap used for 67-72, all have the number 552205 cast into the center of the back. They are not correct for 65 and 66 Chevelles SS or Z16 cars. For those two years the simulated 14-inch mag hubcaps had a taller center medallion and smaller cooling slots with a casting number of 551851. These hubcaps consist basically of two parts that are screwed together, the center, and the ring. The center section is a cast pot metal type material with parts of it chrome plated. These center sections are usually susceptible to pitting, and pealing chrome. Many times there is a missing lug. The ring is steel with a stainless steel collar pressed over the outside. The rings sometimes suffered from dents on the edge from hitting the ground while being pried off the wheel, curb rash, and hammer marks. Show quality 65-66 caps are almost impossible to find, because fewer were made, they are vary hard to restore. Expect to pay $200.00 each for show quality 65-66 caps and $100.00 each for show quality 67-72 caps. The sky’s the limit for NOS of either

I've been watching this 552205 (67-72) set on ebay. The guy dosent seem to know what he's selling, claims there NOS, but no boxes. They look good from the small pictures. It will be intresting to see what they go for.

I have about a dozen of the '67-'72 caps myself, and even two of the 15" ones with the black spokes. I've mixed and matched the two pieces and put together a very nice set for my '68 Caprice. I've paid as little as $8 for some of these, ususally as singles on ebay. I'd sure like to find two more of the 15" ones, they're hard to run across! These caps are cool!

I have a set of 4 for my 66. Is there anyone or anyway to restore these caps?

$819.00 on that set... for 67's.. that was a steal!

as for restoring the 66 caps.. it can be done.. but it is very tedious and expensive.. very expensive.. I tell everyone, you are better off paying for a set already restored or NOS.. stainless steel rings to get dents out and curb rash,,,then the pot metal and pitting issues.. a nightmare!!

I have a number of early style ones, but they have curb rash & some corrosion. I have been picking up the '67-on style piecemeal for cheap for tha last 20 or so years. I scored a NOS set a bunch of years back for $400. I got them home and discovered they were 15", which I didn't know they even produced. The early style were only offered in 13" (for certain Chevy II and Corvair applications) and 14" (for the straight folks). My '69 NOS set have black accents on the spokes as was the case for the accessory style for around '70-on. My car rolls with a set of restored 14" right now. Everybody had Rally Wheels back when I got my '67 and I wanted something period-correct and obscure.

Man, those things are heavy. So much for efficiency and unsprung weight. Still I love 'em. Vintage!

Thats why all the used one have dents on the edges, it takes a bit of force to pop them off and they drop straight down from the weight.
