I just purchased 8 new bolts to attach the backing plates to the rear differential. Ground up shows the bolts with a flange and being black. The bolts I recieved were sliver and no flange. What is the correct bolt for a 70 chevelle and which side should the nut be on?
Thanks for any help.:noway:

I dont know about the flanges and such, but I believe the bolts go through and the nuts are on the inside. :beers:

Just took my backing plates off my 68, the bolts are a fine thread for vibration and the nuts are inboard towards the pumkin. I'm going to use Loctite when they go back together.
