I am installing a Z series Autometer electric water temp gage. Been a while since I did this and never electric.
Instructions say run wire from I on gage to ignition switch. How do I determine which ignition wire ? Is there any other place it can go ?
On the light on each gage, there are two wires running from each gage, (3 gages) total 6 wires for the light bulb for each gage. How would you piggy back those light gage wires ?
Your help is appreciated.

"Instructions say run wire from I on gage to ignition switch." Connect it to a Ign. hot terminal on the fuse box.
"On the light on each gage, there are two wires running from each gage, (3 gages) total 6 wires for the light bulb for each gage. Then soldered the third to a wire I ran to my light switch and placed that into the other end of the cramp connector. Did the same for the ground side.

Correct. There are 4 terminals at the fusebox for added stuff. (see pic below) They are marked BAT, ACC, IGN and LPS. The BAT terminal is always hot, the ACC terminal is only hot when the key is in the accessory or run position, IGN terminal is only hot when the key is in the run position, LPS terminal is only hot when the parking or headlamps are on. Use the IGN terminal for power and the LPS terminal for gauge lighting. (this is so gauge lights will come on with parking/headlights)
