Does anyone know if Goodmark, or anyone else for that matter, plans on reproducing a hood for a '65? I need to replace my hood and would prefer to install a new one over a used one.

Last year when I asked them they said that the demand for '65 was insufficient to justify the cost of tooling up.

I bought a good used hood from a guy from the parts ads that used to be available on this site. That feature seems to have gone missing lately.

Thanks, I kinda figured that was the case. I guess I will have to find a good hood somewhere.

Contact True Connections which is out in California hopefully near you. They sell used Chevelle parts. The owners seem to favor the early cars so they will likely have what you need.

I know they make a fiberglass (maybe even steel) cowl induction hood for 65s.

If you want a stock and can't find one, do a search of TC'ers with 65s and find someone who bought the repro hood for the scoop and make him an offer.

I think that True Connections is not too far away swo I will try them. Thanks for the help!

No steel cowl hoods are made for the 64 or 65 models, only fiberglass. You'll have to buy a good used one. Sorry, but my steel one is already long gone.
