Does anyone know how to take apart the pot metal vent from the bezel. I am wanting to have the metal vent re-chromed and send the plastic off to have it vacuum metalized. I just can't seem to figure out how to get this thing apart without breaking it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone taken apart the Center A/C vent? I posted a picture of the vent. Just can't seem to figure out how the vent come out of the bezel.

Shoot... half my car is in a storage room.... I will try to take a look tomorrow when I am there and see if I can help.... if I can remember. I just cannot remember how it comes apart... I sort of think there is a metal clip on each side that holds the vent (movable) part.... but I will need to look.

Anyone know how this vent comes apart. There must be a trick to getting the vent out of the bezel. I really hate to break it trying to get it apart. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help with this. I am down to needing this vent re-chromed and I can begin putting the dash back together. I have tried messing with the vent to see if I could get it apart but I think I will break it if I continue to pry on it. There is a peice of black plastic or epoxy glue that I think is holding it in. But I just want to make sure before I attempt to dremel it out. Then there is the question on how to put it back together after having it chromed. I attached a couple more picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to attempt separating the vent from the bezel tomorrow so I can send it off to be chromed. Just thought I would bump it back up one last time to see if anyone can help. Thanks....
