I am at the front end of a frame-off modification/restoration of my 65 coupe. I prefer the 64 taillights & trim to those of a 65. Does anyone know the parts required for this and the extent of modifications necessary to make this happen??
Thank you, Caredbird

I think all you need is the bezels and the lenses for the swap, you will also have to run the back up light wires to the taillights since they are in the bumper on 65`s.

I think you will need the whole tail panel, the taillights and backup lights are completely different.

My apologies, I was thinking this was an elcamino, maybe I need to read a little closer next time.

Yes what chev64 says is true. The 64-65 Tail lights are totally different. The 64 tail lights are small and rectangular (about 1.5" X 5") and have small openings in the tail panel. The 65 are larger and square. You will need a different tail panel... One sec let me see. I checked 3 chevelle catalogs and did not see a replacement panel for the tail lights. But I do remember seeing one somewhere. If I run into it again I will post it. Occasionally people sell them on EBAY and on this site.
