Getting started on fabricating up the exhaust system on my 67 big block. My question is, would I be OK with just a basic 'H' type crossover pipe, or should I go for the true 'X' crossover? Thanks.

It depends on what you want... from a power perspective the X will get you a bit more. But the H will get you much the same but with a lower tone.

The sound quality is also a bit different between the two with the H being more of a low tone and the X having more of a modern high pitched revup sound.

I plan on adding an H to the system I am putting in. YMMV

I see no real need for either. Only makes it hard to remove the trany if I need to.
