Does enyone know how the ground wire from the speaker attaches to the package tray? I have seen it welded to the tray on some other Chevys. Also, I just purchased a Delco rear seat speaker from OPG and the connection for the wires appears different than the original. Has anybody else run into this problem?

Assuming you have a 69 or earlier, I'm fairly certain the speaker grounds directly to the package tray frame with a small metal clip. It is one wire to the speaker and that is it. Speaker is grounded to the body.

I don't know of anyone repopping the ground clip? You'd have to find a used one.

PS. Speaker frame is the ground for the speaker and the ground clip completes the circuit to the package tray frame.
