I seen this 64 Bel Air for sale on another board a while back. I told a good friend about it and both of us have been talking about it since. Well, it seems we are probably going on a little road trip(620 miles 1 way) Friday morning to pick it up. My buddy has been talking to him on the phone, I haven't been able to call him as I lost my voice a week back. One more call this morning to ask a few more questions about the car, if we get the right answers we will be on our way. Original plan was to resell after a while but I have a funny feeling it may hang around.
Looks good though huh?

Jerry,
I saw that post too. I love that car! Super price...$8K CN
Without a doubt, if it had been somewhere close to the East coast (one day travel), it would already be in my garage.
Good luck!!

I can't bring up the picture, but a friend here is selling his 64 BelAir 2 door post car with a new crate motor, AC, and new interior and paint for 12 K, just to give you a comparison.

Love it but I want a big boat to cruise real bad. Belair, Caprice or Impala. I really dig this one (based on what I can see in the pics) mild 427 and a 5 speed would rock.

A guy in our local car club has an awesome '63 Bel Air 2-door post. It was a little old lady car with a heater delete. He lives 2 blocks from me, but when he starts it I can always hear it. Those Supertrapps sure give his hot 350 a healthy crackle.

That '64 looks to be pretty decent, and the price seems fair.

Well, after a 1200 mile cruise my buddy and i got back early yesterday afternoon. We stopped by a friends first and of course just about everyone we knew was there. After 1 cold beer the car was sold. One of our friends wanted it badly so we didn't even have to unload it from the trailer. So I guess I can say I owned a 64 Bel Air for a grand total of about 24 hours. Turned out to be a nice solid car. The engine has some blowby but still runs pretty good.

Thanks for the update Jerry!
The only thing that stood between me and that Bel Air was geography...
Hurt me more...if you don't mind me asking...did it go for less than the asking $8K CN?
Nice car!

Bill, we tried playing good guy bad guy lol. I was the bad dude. I said to the fella I am ready to drive home with an empty trailer, he wouldn't budge. lol Of course it looked bad because I couldn't get my partner from drooling all over it :D We made a pretty fair wage for our cruise though ;)

Jerry, it sounds like another Late Geat Chevy convert. Have fun with it, and don't forget to keep us updated with pictures. I've always loved those old X-frame Chevies.

It's a sharp car other than the plain color, I like that year for Impalas/Belair, If this car was priced more reasonable I could've very well bought it instead of the 69 I got. I'ts about a 1/2 hour away from me.
