It will not fit without cutting the tunnel.
Shifter location will be about 5+ inches back & 2" inboard from stock location.

I am trying to plan the same swap... did you find a T56 locally? I live up in the NW near Ann Rd and 95... have you talked to the guys at ATS off South Highland... www.t56kit.com ... Tyler is a great guy and very helpful.. they have, can get or can make anything you need for the swap... check out the "Projects" page .. thats my 67 they installed the spindles and brakes on ...

My idea was to cut the tunnel out of a late model camaro and see if that will provide a possible solution... I just need to see a bare floor to take some measurements.... its just an idea as of right now....

Night and day difference... but its hard to compare manual drums to 13" power disc brakes.... I need better shocks and new steering components, but even with those 40 year old steering parts... It still handles great now...
