Well I think there's supposed to be a bezel there right? Sorry for the bad phone pics. I got my Wagon back about a week ago and I've looked throught all my boxes and can't find it. I found one, that I think is the one for the lights cause it's just a tad too small. If someone could post a pic of theirs, that would be great!

Hum, thank you for checking for me. It really looks like there should be one there, but I could be wrong. I hardly drove the Wagon before it was restored, so I don't remember. Thanks again.

Well this is strange I found a pic of the 65 Chevelle lighter and it looks like the bezel is attached to it. My lighter doesn't have this. Could it be that the element was changed at one point and they removed the bezel? Does anyone know? By the way it doesn't have to be a Wagon, all 65 Chevelles had the same dash, even the El Camino. I know a lot of people here must have 65's.

The bezel is attached to lighter, just like the picture you posted. Your lighter must have been replaced with a universal lighter at some point.

But my lighter is the one in the top photo, with the correct 65 knob. ?

I believe that the knob can be unscrewed from the whole unit.... mine is also in a box, in storage, not to see daylight until probably next year...

Your correct the bezel can be removed. I looked at mine and the lighter can be unscrewed to change the element and the bezel then could be removed.

I don't know why it's bugging me but it does. Thank you all for helping.
Mine is a 'temporary' one I bought because mine is also in the basement somewhere. I took the lighter & the radio buttons out before it went to the shop, to protect them! This lighter I bought for the meantime, the brown part in the middle looks just a little 'lumpy', like maybe the top part & element was changed. The knob looks beautiful & is the correct one. I tried to unscrew it, & it wont move at all, and I'm no weakling guys! I still have the design of the botton on my fingers!
But I guess I know now that there is supposed to be a bezel there and that it should have been attached to the lighter itself. Maybe when I go through the basement and find mine it will have one.:)
