: new paint job/side moulding

I just got my car back from being painted. I had it painted the original Green Meadow Metallic, 64 Chevelle SS. I'm scared to drive it anywhere because of the way people do not have any regard to new paint jobs and slam their doors into my car. Is there side molding I could put on it that would look decent, or do I just not drive it anywhere? Also, how long should I wait before I wash or wax it? I am keeping it in my garage (not insulated, hot in summer, cold in winter).
Thank you.

Drive it by all means, just park it away from the crowd. I hate to see someone put some non original moulding on a original color paint job. Just my opinion.

When I got my Monte Carlo SS painted, my painter said to wait 30 days before waxing, but I could wash it as soon as I wanted.

I agree with Leo and wash it whenever you want. When I worked at a body shop one of my jobs was to wash the cars there and I would wash cars one day after they were painted sometimes even four hours after they were painted.
