I've looked at the old posts, and did several Google queries trying to find a "guide"/directions with photos on how to replace a trunk pan. No luck. I've seen what everyone has posted here, but still don't have an idea of how to get the new steel to match (darn near exactally) the old rusty steel, how to replace the body mounts and gas tank supports relative to the pan itself. Do you cut a giant hole (assume replacing the entire trunk), or just one section at a time? I have the 7 piece kit for my 67 just waiting for me to get started.

Anyway, just wondering if there was something out there -- book, rag, web site that might help me out. It's my first attempt at body work/first car.

Thanks,

Been working on mine for 3 weeks now. Cut out the old with a plasma, new panels will line-up easily. The body mount brackets were put in place and then screwed in to the panels. Screwed all panels in first (screw holes made good plug weld holes)
It really ain't that hard just took a lot of time to do it right. Good luck, PM if I can help you.

Did you overlap the panels, or butt weld them?
