My 67 EL Camino has the chrome moulding on the front fenders and doors. the chrome on the bed is missing. I am refering to the chrome strip that runs down the side of the car. Where can I find replacements? are there just one long piece on each side from the door back.
Those pieces are not available new or reproduction. The best you can do is find a set (or 1 piece at a time) that isn't bent or drilled. There is a place around here that can re-anodize them if necessary. Surely a few of them are lying around after somebody pulled them off and replaced them with SS rocker moldings & wheel opening moldings. Try placing an ad here: http://www.chevelles.com/ads/wanted/index.html . Also go to swap meets, check Hemmings, go to Hershey...
U have the same type of moldings on my '67 Malibu and found that they are a bit tough to find since people have been throwing them out for decades.

asbill,Actually there are two seperate pieces on the Elky quarter's...a short in front of the rear wheel opening and a longer behind the wheel (see signature). The original longer molding on the pass. side of mine had a small door ding but I was lucky enough to find a NOS pair (both sides) on Ebay last year and replaced both. I still have both originals if interested.

A couple of years ago, when I was re-assembling my 67 Elky, I seem to recall that the side moldings were available through Original Parts Group(listed in their catalog). I didn't order them, electing to use aftermarket substitutes due to the price of the original type.
Sorry, I don't have a current OPG catalog to check if they are still available.

well after looking in some junk that came with the car, I found 2 short pieces that are in good shape. I found one piece a little longer, but it was bent up pretty good. So I guess I need the 2 rear pieces. What exactly are thies pieces called? Side Mouldings or Side trim???

Check out www.true-connections.com (http://www.true-connections.com) They are as far as I know the same as Chevelle and are available through these guys and possibly other suppliers. The parts are listed in the new parts section.
