Got both doors line up on my 68. Now working on the fenders. One of them fell right into place. The other is proving to be quite a pain. graemlins/clonk.gif

I have it looking really good everywhere except near the top where it curves out the farthest from the body. The very top looks fine...it's just like I need to give the curved part a nice big WHACK. I have shimmed and pulled like crazy but no luck. What am I missing???? Is there some magic trick?

Also have a question about shimming the front of the fenders. Looks like they need to be shimmed up where they mate with the radiator support. Do you shim between the fender and the support or should I move the radiator support itself up?

OK, I looked closer at the assembly manual and it appears that the shimming should be done below the radiator support. SO that solves that one.

The fender alignment issue...I noticed a significant difference in the gap between the top of the door and the A-pillar from side to side. Driver's side is about 3/8" and the passenger side (the one with the problem) is about half that. What should this gap be? I am a bit confused because each of the doors is aligned pretty nicely to their respective rocker panels and rear quarters. I dont see how I can get that gap pulled in and have everything else line up.

HELP!
