My 66 came with a plain 2 spoke plastic steering wheel, with the horn button and ring assembly just loosely bolted on.

The metal cap snaps on and off, with two spring ears, one on each side.

Can someone help me with what other parts I need to make the horn work?

I think it has a horn relay on the core support, and the turn signal switch/signals work, although it does not self cancel.

I have not traced the wires or pulled the wheel.

What, other than a spring, could be missing?

The diagram in my new service manual has not helped me much...
