I am having trouble attaching the drivers side eyebrow molding on my 69 SS. It has the short style moldings. I no longer have the mounting acrews that slide along the channel in the back of the molding. What would be the best way to do this? I have tried to find mounting tabs, but no luck. I even tried to jerryrig some type of clip to go in the back, but am stumped! I am almost ready to just glue the damn thing!!! What do you think?
Thanks!

buy the correct clips, they should be available new at any specialty hardware store or GOOD auto parts store. NOT autozone or one of the generics.

Haven't been able to find the correct clips. It seems they only come with the moldings when you buy them. Think any GM parts counter at a dealership might have them?
This is pissing me off!! I may just have to do the best with what I can find.
You might try an automotive paint store. I saw quite an assortment of bolts, screws, clips, etc., on a display board at one. One other suggestion is the auto scrap yard. Remove some similar width moldings if you can find somme older cars.

Good luck. Those sliding mounting posts look like they're made specially for that trim. Don't know of any generic piece that would work. You can try the GM parts counter, but it's not promising. Good luck with it.

Good advice on the auto paint store. Was able to find clips and retaining nuts that will work. Not original clips, but very good ones. No one would EVER check to see if the clips are original anyways, its hard enough even putting them on!
Thanks for the tips!!!
