I'm new to thew Tech Forum and this topic has probably been beaten to death before I arrived, but I'm looking to purchase the Repro 69 SS hood and Rear Bumper from Goodmark or other and just wanted to know what kind of quality to expect in regards to fit, metal thickness, etc. compared to NOS. have been please with repro interior parts, brackets, etc., but have never bought big-ticket items like this. Thanks for any help or advice.

I have repro parts from Goodmark on my 69ss.Everything fits great.I just sold my ss hood and went with a Goodmark cowl hood and it looks and fits super.

No complaints here either on the Goodmark parts i've used.

How about replacement trim parts? I am looking for grille and vinyl top trim for my '69..Some of the other trim pieces that came with the car were new, but they were re-pop (taiwan)..I could really tell the difference.

Is the repro trim any good? or should i continue looking for nice used or nos pieces

As far as the viynl top trim, I would search out a used set and have them rechromed/buffed. Original parts always fit.

I have a set that I obtained for a reasonable price, and had the pot metal pieces rechromed and the stainless straightened and buffed.

Of course, after all that, I'm now having second thoughts about putting a viynl top on my car. :rolleyes:
