folks,

I have recently had some front and rear bumper guards and front inner fenders media blasted for refinish and repaint.

I am wanting to put one coat of POR-15 on the cleaned metal parts followed by a final coat of the correct paint to seal the POR-15 fron uv rays etc. Will this work without a primer? Mmeaning, will the finished color adheir to the POR product without flaking, peeling etc.? Appreciate all thought and replies.

Don't know whether you saw the earlier post Zero Rust vs Zero Rust by your fellow member Bigblock455, but it might be worthwhile to do so.
ZR in aerosols are an easy quick way to handle small parts such as you've described and then if you don't like the OEM like finish, you can topcoat it with anything you like.

The correct post: Zero Rust vs POR-15 is what I should have indicated.
Or, go to http://www.zerorust.com/aubodystorepics.htm
to see what Ward was referring to.
Sorry 'bout that.

you should consult with them. i think you want to apply the second coat while the first por-15 coat is tacky so it bonds. i think if you wait you might need to use tiecoat.
