would these wheels fit in the back of my '68?

Right now I have 15x10 Warrior wheels with 5" backspace, ET Streets 28x11.5x15 and I have some room on the inside but have rolled the lip some on the outside and they fit fine....these tires were meant to go on an 8" wheel, so they have stretched some...

looking at these for front and back;

thanks

I would check the tire database on the sticky up top, but I think you are going to need at least 5 1/2" or 6" for 15 x 10 on the rear.

I already have the 15x10 with 5" backspace and they fit fine...I need to know if the 17x8 with the 5.5 backspace and 25mm offset would fit...

thanks

Yes,they will fit. Whether you will like how it looks is another question. That's a lot of backspace on a 8" wide rim.

thanks Clint.....why do you think I might not like the way it looks (positioning of the wheel/tire in the fender well?)

Yes.

I see....i guess I don't know enough to follow your thoughts...with my wheels right now (15x10, 5" BS) I could have them .5" further in towards the axle...meaning, plenty of room back there, too close to the fender on the outside....

the new wheels with the 5.5" BS will do that, it seems to me...will they not also bring the outside .5" further in away from the fender, from where my 15x10s are?

thanks

That is why I went with the 15x8.5 Warriors. I knew that the 15x10 with a 5" bs would not fit well with the tire size I wanted to stuff under my wheel well. It sucks that Centerline doesn't have the half size like Weld does!! I have 305/60's mounted on an 8.5" rim. I may go back to a Weld wheel sometime just to put 10's under it.

that is what I have, 15x10 warriors, 5" BS....when Currie built my rear end I had them shorten it by .5" on each side....the ET Streets that I have on now, 275x50x15 fit fine, but there is more room inside for little more...having siad that, the tires were suppose to go on an 8" rim....having them on 10" rim they stretched some so who the heck knows what spacing I have with the appropriate tires for that rim :)

With a narrower rear like yours, 17x8's 5.5" backspacing will really be tucked in. You're going to have a lot of room between the tire and outer fender lip with that combo. Not sure if you will like that look.
