It is short notice due to new owners at the Denton Dragway site so I hope the moderator will allow this post since most attending come from this forum. That being said, new records were laid down last fall in this event and I know some changes and testing has been going on. I welcome anyone here to come and join us for food and fun at Denton Dragway on April 14th. Here is a link. http://www.dentondragway.com It looks like John will be coming back up from Houston (at least I think he is), I invite more from houston to join us and many are coming from the new North Texas Chevelles club. We can either cook food like last time or I can pick up catered food again. I will be testing my new High Definition camcorder so we will get some great pics and film. I have swapped out gears from 4.57 to 3.89 so I am curious of the result. Bring your wife, kids, friends or just yourself as we all park together and have a great time. Thank you for setting this up. You have done a great job as always! Cooking food there should be good. We can all agree to bring different items. Put me down for the hot dogs and brats. We will have to make sure to get some video of you with your high-def camcorder as well. I would like to see how much lower John will dip this time as well as see Jason run some pretty fast times. How are the 3.89's treating you? Will you be cracking open the nitrous bottle with the new gears? I look forward to seeing that as well. Thanks and see you there.

Guys, I'm planning on being there. As far as new bests, well I guess that will depend on the weather. ;) However, I have made a few changes since last fall that should help the et. See ya'll there.

I plan on being there as well. I've made a bunch of suspension changes over the winter as well as having my converter fixed. We'll see what happens I guess.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I will try to be there, wont know for sure until I get my schedule around the 21st march. This should be a good time,lets try and keep a bigger area reserved so all our cars will be in a general area where we can hang out together!! When it is closer,time to the event I will gladly bring food supplies to see what we all need to bring?:)

I'm gonna be at one of these sooner or later,but we're gonna be at TMS the 14th &15th.I have to yank the engine as well,hopefully it'll be a easy deal if I can find a 396/427 crank (maybe).

I'd like to come watch again... but there is a no way I can make it out there.

With 32 days until graduation, planning/hosting a golf tournament next week, finishing our senior project by next week, etc, etc I'll be lucky to just eat and sleep regularly.

Thanks for the offer Frank! :D The block is at the machine shop and all the groovy new parts are bought and paid for. I am making time as I can to get the car assembled. I have to build and install the new engine, install the new TRZ tubular front control arms and new disc brakes, install the new Strange S-60 rearend and then plumb it all up. No sweat right! :confused:
