A few questions about a 64 frame. 1. On the front (R) passerside at the mounting holes for the front fender support the outter portion of the frame is concave. I believe this is damage and the outter frame should be straigh in this area. Is this correct?
2. The rear most cross section of the frame, my frame is what appears to me bent out in the middle. Should this section be straight & flat.
3. I am going to installe a 400 turbo transmission. Since the vehical origionaly had the power glide do I have to move the cross member mounts back and if so how far?
any help it greatly appretiated.

1. the fender mount / I aaaume you mean the hole for the radiator support.. It that is where you talking about,, it's flat....

2. the " rear most cross section " again I assum you mean the rear cross member,, 9 go's between to two out side frame rails ). and yes it has a slight out ward Bow to it..

#. A Th400 is longer then your powere glide or th350,, and the mount is back aboit 3 in... install the motor and trans and mount the cross member loose,, then mark and drill new holes.. BTDT I assume it's a HT or Sedan ? if it's a Conv or El Camino you have to reverse the mounting tab on the cross member..
