I remember reading a recent post about a tool that looks like a pen and can detect body filler. I thought the name of it was spot rot pen and was made by the eastwood company, well i have there mag, and i called them and they say they never heard of it, and i was wondering if anyone here as ever heard of it or has one and can tell me where to find one. I think it would be a handy tool to have when looking for cars to see how much filler there is, in stead of using a magnet.

thanks,

I had one many years ago, it was called a spot rot. Basically a weak magnet, that was sort of calibrated to a plastic ring with numbers on it. A fridge magnet works just as well, along with experienced hands.
