Where do you guys get sheet metal to do small patch panel repair?
Seems the patch panels the resto shops sell are a little overpriced at $30-40 each. I could get a huge piece of sheet metal for that price I would image.
Any ideas?

I ordered a couple of sheets 36X48 (20ZX0079P
)from JC Whitney for about 10 bucks a sheet, worked perfect...

Check out your local phone book for metal suppliers. Usually there is the place in most major cities called " Metal Supermarket" they'll have anything and everything. I've also used local home A/C shops because they have a supply of metal that they'll sell, even home depot and lowes has a selection.
Good Luck

Go to a junkyard and buy an old hood (its cheap) and take the air shears and cut out as much as you need.
Auto motive steel seems to be a lot more plyable than cold rolled sheets.
I have never used the JC whintey steel but have heard good things from some of my friends

I concur with steve....but if you have a body shop around you just go out back, theres usualy a pile of metal they will give to you free(watch out for the jap junk poor to weld on)
