I was wondering if anyone here has had any luck with the GTECH electronic computer that uses accelorometers etc. I dont know much about it but apparently it plugs into your cig. lighter and works off your DC voltage.

I have one of the first ones, works great once you get it level. not sure if the newest version is so finiky. Your trap speed will be higher as the drag strip averages your last 60' or something ant the g-tech will be actual. I like mine but don't use it every day. I would like to upgrade to the "pro" but can't justify the $ for as much as I use it.

I have a G-Tech Pro SS I bought a couple summers ago. It seems to work quite well. This model does not have to be perfectly level and only takes a little while to install. A buddy of mine and I both use it and it is easy to move from vehicle to vehicle as long as both cars weigh about the same (both Chevelles). It's worth the money as long as you have a nice safe, deserted stretch of highway to use it on.

I was given an older one, haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet, I will this summer.

Are they meant more for the track or is there any use for them on the open road?

I got one of the newer ones at Christmas from my kids.
Lotsa fun in my CTS-V. Easy to operate.
Will try it in my Chevelle at the track in the spring to compare.
