Hey, I was wondering what all componets would you need to change over if you wanted to covert from the long style water pump to the shortie. I have a 69 Chevelle that I swaped over to a BB 454 running only the Alternator, water pump and the crank pully. Reason why i want to make this change is because of radiator/ electric fan space to the water pump.

Remember that the brackets relocate the alternator to the drivers side, and you may not have enough room to run the PS pump without a remote reservoir like factory 65-68 BB's

I switched to manual steering after installing the short waterpump. Summit has a billet bracket by Zoops. It says "fits all A-Body applications" but it didnt fit mine. Also tried NPD for a bracket, but still no luck. So I went manual. It is nice having all the extra room up front with the electric fans though!
