68 is going to be painted this week and i wanted to use a 69 paint code gaurnet red code 52 i believe. problem is the code does not cross or anything for the new base coat clear coat, any help would be apreciated thanx graemlins/thumbsup.gif

What paint line are you going to be using?

Garnet Red is listed under 1969 Chevrolet. In the PPG line it crosses over to PPG 2076. A PPG should be able to help you.

ppg is what they are using. i talked to my paint guy and that is the number they have only there mixing system won't let them mix base clear, he called the paint rep and we'll see monday what he says :confused:

I had the same problem with 69 code 53 blue.
I had to pick a newer years color that was close.
Get the PPG paint book out and start looking.

I don't know if this will help but what I am doing is using dupont chromabase bc/cc and they just released every code for the corvette. It just so happens that marina blue was a 1967 corvette color. I don't know if corvette had the same color as your looking for but its worth a try. They may have even called it something else.
